Abstract
The study considers the relation of diplomacy and intelligence services in a low investigated field known as the role of intelligence activities in foreign policy. It discusses the thesis of foreign policy as a practical activity of a country (state) and the process of making foreign political decisions, as well as the meaning of intelligence activities within the framework of existing theories, the process of intelligence activities (intelligence cycle) and the relations of policy makers and intelligence services.
