Physical and personal evidence are often considered in criminal literature. New scientific and technical methods and achievements are also applied in securing evidence material for the court’s needs. Thus, the thermal imaging technique can be used to provide primarily physical, as well as personal proofs. The paper presents an overview of the possibility of thermal imaging application in various forensic areas, bearing in mind that the thermal imaging technique is based on the fact that the heated bodies emit the thermal radiation that is registered by the existence of different temperature fields on the recorded objects.sr
