AB  - Air pollution caused by leakage of dangerous chemicals is a serious threat to the living world and the environment. Predicting the consequences of pollution by mathematical simulation of leakage has become an important method in the field of environmental protection. In this study, two registered accidents of leakage of chemicals on the territory of the Republic of Serbia were analysed, the leakage of hydrochloric acid and the leakage of ammonia. The areal location of hazardous atmospheres (ALOHA) model was selected together with accurate data on geographic location and meteorological conditions for simulation and evaluation of the effects of harmful evaporation on the environment, Additional analyzes of the same accidents were performed for different meteorological conditions and a comparison of the results was done.The simulation confirmed that the extent of the pollution largely depended on the type of chemical pollutantsand then on their release in given meteorological and geographical conditions.

AB  - Hemijske katastrofe su obično povezane sa sistemima snabdevanja, transporta ili
skladištenja opasnih materija i mogu izazvati jako zagađenje atmosfere. Upravljanje rizikom od potencijalnih katastrofa pri transportu opasnih materija predstavlja proces analize koji bi sprečio ugrožavanje velikog broja ljudi, imovine, životne sredine i prirodnih resursa. U vezi s tim neophodno je pravovremeno predvideti način širenja zagađujućih materija, njihove koncentracije, brzinu i smer širenja s cilјem preciznog vremenskog upozorenja ili eventualne evakuacije stanovništva. Ovaj rad analizira i upoređuje teoriju i praktičnu primenu izabranog Gausovog modela disperzije i softverskog modela ALOHA za slučaj oslobađanja opasnih materija usled incidenta pri transportu. Rezultati dobijeni primenom modela su važni za zaklјučke procene, prepoznavanja, analize i upravlјanje rizikom.
AB  - Chemical disasters are usually associated with the supply, transport or storage of
hazardous substances and can cause severe atmospheric pollution. Managing the risk of potential disasters in the transport of dangerous goods is an analysis process that would prevent the threat of a large number of people, property, the environment and natural resources. In this regard, it is necessary to predict in a timely manner the way in which pollutants are disseminated, their concentration, speed and direction of spreading with the aim of precise weather warnings or possible evacuation of the population. This paper analyzes and compares the theory and application of the selected Gaussian model of dispersion and the software model ALOHA in the case of releasing hazardous materials due to transport incidents. The results obtained by applying the model are important for the conclusions of assessment, recognition, analysis and risk management.

Assessment of air pollution distribution from radioactive sources and its impact on human health

AB  - The paper assesses the concentration of gas aerosols produced as a result of radioactive sources emission. A Gaussian diffusion model is used for calculation of the particle concentration, and the Cs137 isotope is taken as an example of the particles. The determination of the dispersion parameters used in the Gaussian model will be carried out using the Pasquill-Gifford and Briggs’ method. Based on calculated concentrations of radionuclides, their impact on human health will be analyzed.
