Abstract
In the last few years, Serbia has faced many security challenges and one of them belongs to police work. Organised crime has become among the first on the list the police deals with. The Serbian and other polices in South East Europe have realised that there is a need for cooperation in this field. Now, police co-operation has become the activity that gathers together the polices in the region. The countries that were at war fifteen years ago jointly fight against terrorists and organised crime. There are many forms of their co-operation. They are realised through initiatives, international organisations, bilateral agreements and police diplomacy. Police diplomacy is comparatively a new phenomenon in the interaction of the countries in this region, but it had its history in the last century. It has resulted from approaching of SEE to the European Union.
