AB - Aerobic endurance (AE) is considered as one of the physical abilities that determines success on job-related physical tests for police officers. Therefore, AE is one of the criteria in selection process, during the education and through working career. At the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies (UCIPS) the development of the level of AE takes place within the course of Specialized Physical Education (SPE). In the school year 2020/2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic measures, SPE classes were organized in two models: regular (the firstyear students) and online (the second, third- and fourth-year students). The aim of this study
was to determine the influence of these different modules of SPE studying on AE of the UCIPS students. The sample of the respondents included 46 students of the first year (19 women and 27 men) and 45 students of the third year (21 women and 24 men). AE was estimated by using Cooper’s running test at the start and at the end of the observed studying year. The difference between initial and final testing was defined by using a pair sample t-test. It was determined that AE increased by 5.5% (t = -3.353, p = 0.004) with women and for 4% (t = -3.139, p = 0.004) with men for the first-year students. In contrast, the third-year students had the reduction of AE by
3.6% (t = 2.415, p = 0.025) with women and by 6.2% (t = 3.354, p = 0.003) with men.

AB - The purpose of this paper is to investigate whether there are any differences between male and female police officers
when performing a job-related fitness test, as well as to determine the individual level of specific strengths and motor
abilities (hereinafter: SSMAs) as an indicator of work ability. The research was conducted in Serbia on a sample of 111
respondents (40 female and 71 male). In order to determine the SSMAs, this research applied the Obstacle Course test for
assessing specific abilities of police officers (OCSAPO1). Three variables were observed during the test: time needed for the
completion of the test (tSAPO1), maximum heart rate and capillary blood lactate concentration. On average, men completed
the test statistically significantly more efficiently than women, i.e. by 10.3%. According to the percentile distribution
of tSAPO1, 5% of women and 14.1% of men proved to be significantly above the average level of all tested respondents.
However, based on test results, 11.3% of men and 47.5% of women needed to improve their SSMAs in order to meet
occupational requirements. The OCSAPO1 test could be further used as one of the criteria that could help to further classify
police officers for various types of police work according to their physical abilities. It could be used to assess the SSMAs
relevant for a particular job position according to individual merits and regardless of gender, which would provide the
conditions necessary for achieving “equal opportunities” for women and thus do away with the system of binary logic and
gender dualism of the police organisation as a context of masculine culture, which, a priori, excludes women by using
physical abilities as the strongest argument in favour of maintaining the existing gender practice.

AB - Na mednarodnem področju si močno prizadevajo ugotavljati obseg in trende tatvin motornih vozil na podlagi
policijskih podatkov in na podlagi raziskav viktimizacije. Raziskave razlik v višini stopnje tatvin motornih vozil
AB - At the international level, significant efforts are being made towards reviewing the scope and trend of motor vehicle theft, based on
police records and prior research on victimization. Since comparative research on the rate of motor vehicle theft between countries is
still in its infancy, this study aims to examine the specifics of trends of motor vehicle theft in Serbia in comparison to other European
countries. The research is especially focused on the characteristics of criminal activities and police officers, who are fighting against
this form of crime in Serbia and its neighbouring countries. The research covers the period from 2002 to 2011 and the analyses show
that there is a trend of reducing registered motor vehicle theft in Serbia. Furthermore, the number of motor vehicle thefts per 100.000
inhabitants in Europe has decreased linearly, averaging about 13.52 per year. This trend of motor vehicle thefts is also present in Serbia
(1.36 per year) and neighbouring countries, with exception of Bulgaria, where number of motor vehicle thefts is increasing. Results
show that there are statistically significant differences between the average rates of motor vehicle theft in Europe and the average rates
of motor vehicle theft in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Hungary. Moreover, statistically significant differences exist between the
rate of motor vehicle theft in Hungary and the rates of motor vehicle theft in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Bulgaria, while no statistically
significant differences were observed between Slovenia, Croatia, and Bulgaria.

AB - The paper presents a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the phenomenon of racism at football matches in Serbia. The statistic analyses relate to the youth aged 14 to 19. The paper proves that (1) a large part of the population of the young perceives the problem of racism at football matches, but without recognizing racist outburst, and (2) that male gender, membership in fan groups, and alcohol consumption are the common characteristics which, independently or in interaction, characterize a portion of Serbian population prone to racist behaviour. Moreover, the predictive model presented in this paper indicates that (1) there is a significant portion of population of the youth (less than 10%) prone to racist behaviour, as well as (2) the necessity of creating programmes for prevention of racism to be implemented in schools based on education of recognition and avoidance of racism.

Moreover, the predictive model presented in this paper indicates that (1) there is a significant portion of population of the youth (less than 10%) prone to racist behaviour, as well as (2) the necessity of creating programmes for prevention of racism to be implemented in schools based on education of recognition and avoidance of racism.",

AB - Police officers represent significant and very respectable force of the system for protection and
rescue of people, material and cultural values from consequences caused by natural disasters. Effectiveness and efficiency of police forces depend on various factors, such as degree of abruptness, type, scale, intensity, phase and consequences of natural disaster, quality of training and equipping police officers, availability of response action plans and stable financial resources. However, experiences of the police in protection and rescue actions during the floods in May 2014, led to importance of exploring visibly present but not sufficiently explained theoretical aspects of the use of police units during natural disasters of catastrophic proportions.
Regarding this, the paper elaborates the issues concerning organization and functioning of telecommunications and geo topographic ensuring use of police units in actions of protection and rescue during catastrophic floods on examples from Obrenovac and Šabac. At the end of the paper, the concrete suggestions for improving the treated issues are given.

AB - The purpose of this paper is to establish how young female handball players are selected
in the Republic of Serbia on the basis of basic anthropomorphological indicators and what the relation between the anthropomorphological characteristics and the position within the team is. The sample of 57 selected handball players aged up to 14 was divided into 4 sub-samples, with respects to their positions within the team. Their basic anthropomorphological characteristics were measured – body mass (BM), body height (BH) and the respective body mass index (BMI) was calculated for each of them. The obtained results suggest that there were statistically significant differences with respect to the observed variables (BM, BH and BMI) for all the observed positions: F = 6.335; 8.424; 3.676, p = .001; .000; .018, respectively. Three canonical discriminative functions were singled out, the first two being of statistical significance, with the first one explaining 66.0% of the total variance and the second accounting for 31.1%, which means that together they explained
97.3% of the variance. The aforemetnioned implied that there were differences in the height
among the selected handball players with respect to their positions on the team, which
also applied to their weight, and lastly to the body mass index. The results of our observation
showed that the players in the wing position were the shortest and had the lowest body
mass, whereas the pivot position players were the tallest, had the highest body mass and
the highest BMI, the lowest BMI being characteristic of backcourt players. With respect to
the age group (up to 14 years of age) and from the aspect of the function of basic anthropomorphological characteristics (BM, BH, and BMI) it can be generally concluded that the selection of players with respect to the position was performed with the reliablity rate of 52.6% and that it was the most reliable for the position of backcourt players (69.2%), then wings (66.7%), whereas for the pivot position it was only 25.0% and as low as 0% for the position of the goalkeeper.
