AB - Police work belongs to the category of exceptionally responsible and psychologically , socially and physically strenuous and stressful professions. Occupational pressures can lead to a significant negative change in the level of nutrition, thus affecting body structure. Therefore, the goal of this paper was to analyze body composition in Serbian police personnel as related to their professional duties. Methods. 689 healthy male participants took part in this research, a control group of 412 civilians, and a group consisting of 277 male members of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia, divided into 4 subgroups: Uniformed Police Administration (Directorate) (N = 38), Police Brigade (N = 127), Gendarmerie (N = 59) and Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (N = 53). The body composition measurements were realized by using multichannel segmental bioimpedance with InBody 720 apparatus. Results. Regarding different components of body fat, in comparison to the control group, police officers were found to have a higher value of BFM-body fat mass, VFA-visceral fat area, and BFI-body fat index, as well as a lower value of PFI-protein fat index. Conclusions. In view of the fact that body fat is a ballast component in good locomotion and a health risk factor in case of large or extreme surplus, we believe that this problem should be solved systematically through permanent evaluation, improved dietary habits and more regular and intensive physical activity.

AB - The main motivation to conduct the study presented in this paper was the fact that due to the development of improved solutions for prediction risk of bleeding and thus a faster and more accurate diagnosis of complications in cirrhotic patients, mortality of cirrhosis patients caused by bleeding of varices fell at the turn in the 21th century. Due to this fact, an additional research in this field is needed. The objective of this paper is to develop one prediction model that determines most important factors for bleeding in liver cirrhosis, which is useful for diagnosis and future treatment of patients. To achieve this goal, authors proposed one ensemble data mining methodology, as the most modern in the field of prediction, for integrating on one new way the two most commonly used techniques in prediction, classification with precede attribute number reduction and multiple logistic regression for calibration. Method was evaluated in the study, which analyzed the occurrence of variceal bleeding for 96 patients from the Clinical Center of Nis, Serbia, using 29 data from clinical to the color Doppler. Obtained results showed that proposed method with such big number and different types of data demonstrates better characteristics than individual technique integrated into it.

AB - In order to achieve high results in sports, it is necessary to provide an adequate status of an athlete in according to various factors, among which the body structure is one of greater importance. The aim of this research is to define the most discriminated indicators of body structure indexes, thanks to which a specific change of physical structure can be observed according to a branch of sport and type of combat sport. Variables in the research were: body height, body mass, body mass index, free fat mass index, fat mass index, protein mass index, skeletal muscle mass index, percent of body fat, percent of skeletal muscle mass and protein fat index. The measuring of the body composition is realized by using multichannel segmental bioimpedance with InBody 720 apparatus, applied on the total of 112 male high level senior-age athlete members of different national team's member of Republic of Serbia (62 judokas, 29 Greco-Roman style wrestlers and 21 karatekas). The discriminative analysis has shown that subsamples of the athletes statistically differ in morphology on Wilks' lambda level (0.435, p = 0.000), and that following variables have the highest discrimination compared to athlete respondents in sport function: percent of skeletal mass (0.34), percent of body fat (0.28) and protein fat index (0.26), as the first isolated factor (p = 0.000) by which is explained 86.3 %, that is body weight (0.74), skeletal muscle index (0.73), protein mass index (0.72), body mass index (0.72) and free fat mass index (0.70), as the second factor (p = 0.030) by which 13.7 % variability of measured body structure space is explained. By establishing body structure models of judokas, wrestlers and karatekas for variables examined and by using modern technological method of measuring (InBody 720, 2008) we got new information that characterize specificity of the sport, which all contribute to spreading and improving already existing knowledge in the sports sciences and sport body morphology area.

AB - The increase in body mass at the expense of fat mass can lead to impaired health, professional-working and morphological status. The aim of this study was to define the descriptive indicators in measured morphological components and the establishment of standards for the initial values of their assessment. The sample of examinees included 144 female students of the Academy of Criminalistic and Police Studies (ACPS): Age - 19.7 ± 1.1 years; BH - 169.3 ± 5.3 cm, BM - 61.3 ± -6.9 kg, BMI - 21.2 ± 2 kg/m2. The measurements were performed at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Belgrade, by standardized procedures with multichannel bioelectrical body composition analyzer 'InBody 720'. Variables for classification were: Body Weight (BW, kg), Body Height (TV, cm), Body Mass Index (BMI, kg/m2), Body Fat Mass (BFM, kg), Percent of Body Fat (PBF, %), Visceral Fat Area (VFA, cm2), Fat Control (FC, kg), Trunk Fat (TF, kg) and Trunk Fat Index (TF_BFM, %). Classes are defined by the characteristic seven subclasses: very poor, insufficient, below average, average, over, overly and unacceptable, in accordance with the sport metrology procedures. The results were statistically analyzed using descriptive statistics. Based on the obtained results, the examinees were distributed in the respective clusters. It was found that ACPS students have a distribution of results indicator of body fat shifted toward lower values , but it can be concluded that in general level the examinees belong to a population with normal values in relation to the criteria of the World Health Organization.
AB - Porast telesne mase na račun masne komponente može dovesti do narušavanja zdravstvenog, profesionalno-radnog i morfološkog statusa. AB - This work presents the results of a research whose main objective was defining the level of transfer of additional exercise on the manifestation of the characteristics of the back extensor muscle force compared to regular physical activity in Special Physical Education (SPE) classes. Fifty-two students of the Academy of Criminalistic and Police Studies (ACPS) in Belgrade participated in the research; they were divided into three differently trained groups: the control group consisted of students who exercised following the SPE curriculum (20), the second group included students who had additional martial arts training (15), and the third group consisted of students who had additional gym work out (17). The measurement of the characteristics of muscle force was performed by applying the dynamometry method, using the 'Isometric Dead lift' standardized test. The results showed that, in general, the quantitative value of the benefit of additional exercise in the gym for students tested was 29.02%, while training in martial arts amounted to 40.98%. Regardless of the type of additional training, i.e. exercise, the benefit of additional training or exercise was a 35% higher level of contractile ability of F - t dependency in the back extensor muscles. The results suggest that, for students of the ACPS, regular physical exercise from 4 to 5 times a week, focusing on different type of velocity-strength training, has, statistically, a significantly greater effect on the development of contractile capacity of muscles (F - t relationship) compared to the exercise frequency of only 2 times a week.

abstract = "This work presents the results of a research whose main objective was defining the level of transfer of additional exercise on the manifestation of the characteristics of the back extensor muscle force compared to regular physical activity in Special Physical Education (SPE) classes. The results suggest that, for students of the ACPS, regular physical exercise from 4 to 5 times a week, focusing on different type of velocity-strength training, has, statistically, a significantly greater effect on the development of contractile capacity of muscles (F - t relationship) compared to the exercise frequency of only 2 times a week., U radu su prezentovani rezultati istraživanja čiji je osnovni cilj bio definisanje nivoa transfera dodatnog vežbanja na ispoljavanje karakteristika mišićne sile opružača leđa u odnosu na redovnu fizičku aktivnosti realizovanu na nastavi SFO-a. U istraživanju je učestvovalo 52 studenta Kriminalističko-policijske akademije u Beogradu, koji su bili podeljeni u tri različito trenirane grupe: kontrolna grupa sastavljena od studenata koji su vežbali po programu nastave iz SFO-a (20), grupa studenata koja je dodatno trenirala neki borilački sport (15) i grupa studenata koja je dodatno vežbala u teretani (17).
